  • I believe that inspiring, meaningful teaching begins with a focus on the individual. With piano as my instrument, my deeper purpose is to nurture the whole person through music. My own journey as a musician has shown me that great teaching extends beyond technique and interpretation to a deeper understanding of music and of life.

Studying music in a thoughtful, focused way strengthens concentration, discipline, and self-expression. The pursuit of excellence helps students set goals that are both meaningful and achievable, and to work toward them with clarity and purpose. In my studio, I encourage students to take an active role in shaping their musical direction, while I guide them in recognizing and building the small, steady steps that lead to lasting growth and confidence.

Progress is most meaningful when it is clear, personally relevant, and fulfilling. Recognizing achievements along the way helps build momentum and self-motivation. When students experience the satisfaction of accomplishment, they naturally feel inspired to take on new challenges, fostering a lifelong love of learning and a mindset of continuous growth, at the piano and beyond.

Ultimately, my aim as a teacher is to help students lead lives that are rewarding, inspired and creative, and marked by curiosity, generosity, and integrity. I teach to continue the cycle of education, sharing the wisdom and encouragement I’ve received from my own mentors. Through this process, I hope my students will refine their artistry, discover their unique musical voice, and strengthen their connection to the world around them.
